Aeonium ‘Bronze Teacup’\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e A spectacular variegated Aeonium with broad cream and green striped leaves edged in vivid pink to red. Its generous rosettes become increasingly colourful in bright light and cooler conditions, developing the beautiful layered tones that make this variety such a standout.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e2. Aeonium ‘Velour’\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e A much-loved Jack Catlin hybrid combining rich colour with a strong, branching growth habit. Its velvety rosettes develop deep chocolate-purple to burgundy outer leaves around a contrasting fresh green centre, creating a dramatic two-tone effect.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e3. Aeonium ‘Picasso’\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e An eye-catching newer variegated cultivar with a painterly blend of lime green, creamy yellow and warm pink to burgundy tones. Its changing colours and attractive layered rosettes make ‘Picasso’ an especially interesting addition for collectors who enjoy unusual Aeoniums.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e4. Aeonium arboreum ‘Zwartkop’\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e The classic Black Rose Aeonium and a recipient of the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit. ‘Zwartkop’ develops large architectural rosettes that can become exceptionally dark burgundy to almost black in strong light, providing wonderful contrast among brighter succulents.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e5. Aeonium arboreum ‘Chanel’\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e A striking variegated Aeonium prized for its remarkable colour. Cream and green variegation is overlaid with increasingly rich pink and red tones, producing spectacular multi-coloured rosettes that can change considerably with light, temperature and the seasons.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e6. Aeonium haworthii ‘Dream Color’ (‘Kiwi’)\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e An old favourite for good reason. This compact, freely branching Aeonium forms masses of attractive rosettes combining green, creamy yellow and pink to red margins. Colour changes through the seasons keep it interesting throughout the year, while its naturally bushy habit makes it excellent for pots and garden displays.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eGrowing Your Aeonium Cuttings\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAeoniums are particularly rewarding to grow from good-quality stem cuttings. The semi-hardwood to hardwood cuttings supplied in this collection have generous mature stems and are ready to plant when they arrive.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlant the mature stem into a free-draining succulent potting mix at a sufficient depth to hold the cutting securely. Any softer green stem tissue should remain above the soil level. Roots can develop along the buried mature stem, helping the cutting establish a strong root system.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eKeep newly planted cuttings in bright, protected light while they establish rather than placing them immediately into strong direct sun. Under favourable growing conditions, Aeonium cuttings can begin establishing a good root system within approximately 2–3 weeks. Once well rooted, they can gradually be introduced to increased sunlight.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWinter through spring is an especially good growing period for Aeoniums in much of Australia. They are naturally most active during the cooler months and can grow rapidly once established. During hot, dry summer conditions, growth may slow considerably and plants may enter a period of dormancy. Providing protection from excessive heat and maintaining appropriate moisture can help keep them more active through summer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eColour \u0026amp; Seasonal Changes\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne of the pleasures of growing Aeoniums is watching their appearance change throughout the year. Light intensity, temperature, growing conditions and the seasons can all influence their colours. The variegated varieties may develop stronger pink, red, cream and burgundy tones, while darker cultivars such as ‘Zwartkop’ and ‘Velour’ can become increasingly dramatic under suitable conditions.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe photographs show our current stock and provide a guide to the excellent size and quality of the cuttings supplied.
