With age, established specimens may produce offsets around the base, gradually forming attractive compact clusters while still retaining their characteristically small scale.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch3\u003eFlowers\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eRebutia\u003c\/em\u003e are particularly noted for producing flowers that are large in proportion to the size of the plant.
