Adromischus marianiae 'Alveolatus', also known as Adromischus alveolatus, is a captivating small succulent that boasts a unique charm with its tuberous roots and sparingly branched, short erect stems. This cultivar, originating from the rocky terrains of Cape Province in Little Namaqualand, South Africa, finds itself comfortably nestled in the Crassulaceae family, thriving under the nurturing care of succulent enthusiasts.

With stems that present a rugged, pale tan-green or yellow-green hue, occasionally adorned in a delicate whitish overlay, Adromischus marianiae 'Alveolatus' grows to about 2 cm in length and 0.5 cm in diameter. Its leaves, a visual treat, are whitish-green, unspotted, with a reddish or brownish tinge at the tips, embodying a unique obovate or lanceolate shape. Measuring up to 3.5 cm in length and 2 cm in width, the leaves are slightly channeled on the upper surface, adding to the plant's distinct appearance.

The flowering season brings forth a delightful display of yellowish base flowers, transitioning to green, maroon at the apex, and a bright green interior. These tubular blooms, up to 1.5 cm long and 0.5 cm in diameter, gracefully ascend on slender, sometimes zig-zag stalks, reaching up to 17 cm in height during the summer months.

Adromischus marianiae 'Alveolatus' thrives best in environments that mimic its natural rocky habitat, requiring minimal water and plenty of sunlight to flourish. In Australia, it's suited for regions with a Mediterranean climate, thriving in outdoor rock gardens or as a distinguished addition to indoor succulent collections. Its resilience and striking appearance make it an appealing choice for succulent lovers seeking to add a touch of nature's sculpture to their homes or gardens.
