Echeveria 'Madiba' - Pink Lips is a fascinating succulent that was introduced to Australia in 2018. This European hybrid produces a single head that can grow up to 25 cm in both width and height. Its leaves are hard and leathery to the touch and feature unique, almost warty growths on the outer edges that can range in color from pink to grey with a touch of orange.

As the plant matures, its leaves develop a crinkled or wavy margin, giving them a unique appearance. This process can take 2-3 years to fully develop, but the result is a beautiful and striking plant. The leaves curve downwards, with pointy tips and crinkled edges, and as they age, they turn pinker with dark pink tips or "eyelashes." Darker pink splotches can also appear along the leaves, adding to their intrigue.

Echeveria 'Madiba' is a hardy succulent that prefers full or partial sun and does not require much water. It is relatively easy to grow, and propagates easily from leaf or cutting. The plant's color intensifies during cooler months, and it is known to have more intense coloration in Australia's southern regions.

This succulent's unique appearance and ease of care make it a desirable addition to any garden bed or mixed arrangement. Whether you are an experienced gardener or just starting, Echeveria 'Madiba' - Pink Lips is a plant that can provide years of enjoyment as you watch its leaves develop and change over time.
