Rebutia 'Paradisian Pink' is a charming alpine cactus that hails from the rugged mountains of Argentina and Bolivia, thriving in harsh yet picturesque environments. This miniature cultivar, developed by Paradisia Nurseries, forms tight clusters of cylindrical heads that reach about 5 cm in diameter. These heads are sheathed in soft, golden-brown spines that lend the plant an appealing texture while remaining gentle to the touch.
The true highlight of Rebutia 'Paradisian Pink' is its spectacular display of vibrant pink flowers, which emerge en masse during the spring and summer. The flowers are impressively large relative to the plant’s body, creating a stunning contrast against its subdued, spiny exterior. These blooms last for several weeks, turning this already attractive cactus into a captivating focal point for any collection.
Over time, this slow-growing cactus will form dense clusters up to 15 cm wide and tall within 3 to 4 years. The clumps are easily divided, making it a fantastic choice for propagation or for sharing with other enthusiasts. Like other members of the genus, Rebutia 'Paradisian Pink' produces small, regularly arranged tubercles instead of prominent ribs, contributing to its unique aesthetic.
Rebutia species are well-regarded for their ease of care and resilience, making them ideal for both novice and experienced growers. They are known to self-seed freely around the parent plant, ensuring the enduring charm of these delightful cacti in any setting.
