Part of the Schlumbergera Truncata Dancer Series from Holland, 'Thor Sharon' is celebrated for its resilience and prolific flowering. It thrives in partially shaded outdoor positions or sunny indoor spots. For optimal blooming and to prevent leggy growth, provide bright, filtered light with short days and long, cool nights, around 11-13 hours of darkness.
As with most houseplants, overwatering can cause rot, so allow the soil to dry on top before watering again. Plant in a well-drained cactus or succulent potting mix and apply a light water-soluble fertilizer in early spring and late summer to encourage blooms. Native to Brazil, this epiphytic cactus grows naturally on rock crevices and tree boughs, pollinated by hummingbirds.
