About Echeveria ‘Cute Bean’ Variegated
Echeveria ‘Cute Bean’ Variegated is an attractive Korean hybrid prized for its plump foliage, compact rosettes and soft cream variegation. The fleshy leaves display varying combinations of pale green and creamy tones, giving individual rosettes their own distinctive pattern and character.
As the plant matures, it readily develops offsets and gradually forms a substantial multi-rosette clump. Under suitable light and seasonal conditions, the outer leaves can develop attractive pink to reddish tones, creating a beautiful contrast with the softer green and cream variegation.
Growing from Cuttings
Echeveria ‘Cute Bean’ Variegated is particularly rewarding to grow from a cutting because of its naturally clustering growth habit. A single healthy cutting can establish as an individual rosette before gradually producing offsets around the parent growth, eventually developing into an attractive multi-headed specimen.
Plant the cutting into a free-draining succulent mix and keep it in a bright, protected position while it establishes. Water sparingly at first, allowing the growing medium to dry between waterings. Once established and actively growing, it can gradually be introduced to stronger light, while protecting the paler variegated foliage from sudden exposure to intense sun.
As new leaves and offsets develop, the balance of green, cream and pink can vary between individual rosettes and through the seasons. This combination of changing variegation, colourful outer leaves and prolific clustering makes ‘Cute Bean’ Variegated especially enjoyable to grow from a cutting, with its appearance becoming increasingly interesting as the plant matures.

Pickup is available in Seville, Yarra Valley VIC by appointment. Order online as normal and any shipping charge will be automatically refunded after collection, unless you would prefer to receive an additional plant of similar value instead.
