Echeveria Hera
Exuding an understated elegance, Echeveria 'Hera' is a Korean hybrid succulent that thrives in the full sun and adds a touch of sophistication to any garden or home with its greyish-green leaves and alluring red margins. Its leaves are noticeably thicker and the rosettes smaller than those of its parent, Echeveria 'Afterglow', giving it a unique and captivating appearance.
This succulent forms on a stout, minimal stem and grows slowly, gradually developing offsets at its base to form a dense, visually appealing clump. What makes Echeveria 'Hera' even more striking is its adaptive nature; when subjected to stress, the leaves transform, taking on a breath-taking red hue that enhances its beauty further.
A testament to the genetic lineage of Echeveria purpusorum and Echeveria 'Afterglow', the 'Hera' variant isn't merely an aesthetic delight. Come spring, it turns into a vibrant, living bouquet, sprouting clusters of small, bell-shaped, pinkish-red flowers with delightful orange interiors.
With origins tracing back to the expert cultivators at Korean nursery Air Magic & Chang-Jo in 2011, Echeveria 'Hera' has since earned recognition for its resilience and adaptability, making it a great choice for Australian climates. Its manageable size and low-maintenance nature, combined with its enchanting aesthetic appeal, make Echeveria 'Hera' a cherished addition to any plant collection.

Succulents naturally change in colour, size and form throughout the year. Many develop richer colours and more compact growth during periods of seasonal stress, particularly through cooler months and brighter conditions, while warmer or lower-light conditions may produce greener, softer growth.
The plant you receive may therefore vary from the product images depending on the season, its stage of growth and current growing conditions. These natural variations are part of the character of living plants and do not affect their quality or health.
Pickup is available in Seville, Yarra Valley VIC by appointment. Order online as normal and any shipping charge will be automatically refunded after collection, unless you would prefer to receive an additional plant of similar value instead.
