Pachyveria Dr Cornelius
Pachyveria 'Dr Cornelius' is a striking hybrid cross of Pachyphytum glutinicaule and an unknown Echeveria. This succulent is a treat for the eyes, with its chubby apple green leaves that have orange-red highlights when subjected to stress. The plant is low-growing, reaching about 20 cm high and wide, but what it lacks in height, it makes up for in its unique and stunning colours.
The leaves of 'Dr Cornelius' are thick and flattened, forming dense, wide rosettes that look similar to echeverias. The leaves are predominantly blue-green, but as the plant matures, it takes on another dimension with its older leaves turning almost completely bright red and pink in cool climates. The tips of the leaves also display intense red and pink hues, providing a striking contrast to the blue-green colouration on the new growth.
