Echeveria 'Iceberg Queen' is a striking Korean hybrid succulent celebrated for its refined symmetry and ghostly, powder-coated foliage. This cultivar forms compact rosettes with sharply pointed leaves cloaked in thick farina, giving the plant a frosted white appearance reminiscent of freshly fallen snow. Depending on environmental stress—particularly light exposure and temperature—these alabaster leaves can blush with pastel tones, including soft pink or lilac.
Though its exact parentage remains undocumented, Echeveria 'Iceberg Queen' is widely speculated to descend from Echeveria elegans, a species frequently used in hybridisation due to its symmetrical form, powdery foliage, and ease of propagation. The resemblance is notable, with both plants sharing a dense, low-growing structure and the hallmark pale, glaucous coating. The name “Iceberg” is commonly associated with hybrids exhibiting these frosted characteristics.
