You will receive five healthy Crassula rogersii ‘Silk Variegated’ cuttings similar in size and quality to those shown in image 3. The first two images show established plants for display purposes and illustrate some of the natural colour and variegation this cultivar can develop. Each cutting is carefully selected and supplied ready for planting.
Variegation in this cultivar is highly variable, so wherever possible we deliberately select your five cuttings from different plants to provide an interesting mix of variegation, colour and pattern rather than five very similar cuttings from the same parent plant.
Cuttings are individually selected to provide similar overall value to those shown in the product images. As size varies naturally, additional smaller cuttings may occasionally be supplied where necessary to provide equivalent value.

About Crassula rogersii ‘Silk Variegated’
Crassula rogersii ‘Silk Variegated’ is a distinctive compact succulent prized for its highly variable foliage and fine silvery hairs, which give the leaves an attractive soft, almost shimmering appearance. Individual plants can display different combinations of pale green, cream and ivory, while pink to reddish tones may develop under suitable light and seasonal conditions.
The plant develops a naturally compact, branching habit and can reach around 30 cm in height when established. Its combination of soft texture, changing colour and highly individual variegation makes it especially attractive in pots, mixed succulent arrangements or grown as a small group where the differences between plants can be fully appreciated.
Growing from Cuttings
Crassula rogersii ‘Silk Variegated’ is particularly easy and rewarding to propagate from stem cuttings. One of the advantages of this five-cutting selection is the opportunity to establish several plants displaying different styles of variegation. While a single established plant may show relatively similar variegation throughout its growth, individually selected cuttings can develop noticeably different combinations of green, cream, ivory, pink and reddish tones.
The five cuttings can be planted together to create a varied multi-stemmed display or grown separately so that each plant can develop its own individual character. As they mature, the differences in colour and variegation can become an especially interesting feature of the collection.
Allow any freshly cut surfaces to dry and callus before planting into a free-draining succulent mix. Position the cuttings in bright, filtered light while they establish and water sparingly at first, allowing the growing medium to dry between waterings. Once established and actively growing, they can gradually be introduced to stronger light.
As new growth develops, the cuttings gradually branch and form the dense growth characteristic of Crassula rogersii. Colour can change considerably through the year, with brighter light and drier growing conditions often encouraging stronger pink and reddish tones. The naturally variable variegation means each of your five plants can continue developing its own distinctive appearance as it grows.

- All plants are sent bare rooted with no pots and soil, or minimum soil only.
- Due to the drying process necessary for sending plants through the mail, plants may look slightly different than images shown on our website
- Some plants, may look wrinkled when they arrive, may be somewhat limp, or soft to the touch. This is normal as they have been dried out for for a number of days before shipping to avoid rotting in the mail.
- Succulents are very hardy plants and they will recover quickly, providing you unpack them as soon as you receive them follow some simple care instructions you will find with your order.
