Adromischus cooperi, commonly known as the Plover Egg plant or Club-adromischus, is a charming dwarf succulent that is native to South Africa's Eastern Cape region. This perennial plant grows up to 7 cm tall and 15 cm in spread, with short, spreading greyish-brown stems occasionally bearing aerial roots.

The leaves of Adromischus cooperi are plump, cylindrical, and silver-grey, with a hint of duck-egg green and elegantly spotted with rich dark purple. The upper surface of the leaves is distinctly mottled with large purple markings, while the lower surface is hairless and glossy. The leaves are decussate, with a white, slightly wavy horny leaf margin, and measure 2.5-5 cm in length.

Adromischus cooperi produces inflorescences that are 35 cm or more long, with tubular flowers that are green-and-red covered in a thick bloom with white-margined, pink or purple lobes and club-shaped hairs in the throat and on the corolla-lobes. The plant blooms in summer, and its fruit is a dry, many-seeded follicle.

Adromischus cooperi is an excellent choice for a windowsill plant, thriving in full sun to part shade. It requires more frequent watering in the summer and is is not cold hardy so advisable to bring it indoors over winter in frosty areas.

In summary, Adromischus cooperi is a delightful and unique succulent that is easy to care for and would make an excellent addition to any plant collection.
