Crassula muscosa, also known as Watch Chain or Rattail Crassula, is a fascinating succulent plant with slender stems covered in tiny, light green leaves that form a square shape. Native to Namibia and South Africa, this species prefers environments with a moderate degree of humidity and grows well in well-drained soil mixed with sand. It produces small yellow-green flowers in the summer.

This plant is best grown in full sun to partial shade and should be watered using the "soak and dry" method, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. It is a relatively easy plant to care for and can be grown indoors or outdoors. During the cold season, it can tolerate temperature drops down to 6-8°C and requires little water. In the summer, it needs more water and should not be exposed to full sun as it may suffer under excessive sunlight.

Crassula muscosa is an invasive species and can be easily propagated from stem cuttings. If kept in a stable environment with appropriate humidity, brightness, and temperature of around 20-21°C, the cutting will root and grow rapidly.

With its unique appearance and easy care requirements, Crassula muscosa is a popular houseplant grown worldwide. Its common names, such as Watch Chain, Lizard's Tail, and Zipper Plant, reflect its striking appearance and make it a delightful addition to any collection.
