What you will receive
You will receive one Echeveria ‘Blue Dolphin’ cutting similar in size and quality to the specimen shown in image 3. Each cutting is supplied with small roots already formed and is ready for planting on arrival. The first image shows a selection of our current stock, while the second image illustrates the beautiful colours this variety can develop, particularly during the cooler months.
Each cutting is carefully selected and will display natural variation in shape, colour and size. Colours may vary depending on the season, light levels and growing conditions.

About Echeveria ‘Blue Dolphin’
Echeveria ‘Blue Dolphin’ is a beautiful cultivar admired for its changing colour palette and elegant, symmetrical rosette. New growth typically emerges in soft shades of pale green with creamy yellow tones before gradually maturing into attractive pastel blue foliage. This gentle transformation gives the plant year-round appeal, with its appearance continuing to change as new growth develops.
The broad, fleshy leaves are highlighted by attractive pink margins and pointed tips that can become increasingly vivid in bright light and cooler conditions. The contrast between the powdery blue foliage and colourful leaf edges gives ‘Blue Dolphin’ a particularly refined appearance in pots, succulent arrangements and collector displays.
Growing from Cuttings
Echeveria ‘Blue Dolphin’ is rewarding to grow from a cutting, and the small roots already present give your new plant a useful head start. Once planted, the cutting can concentrate on establishing a stronger root system and producing new growth, gradually developing into the well-formed rosette characteristic of this cultivar.
Plant into a free-draining succulent mix and keep the cutting in a bright, protected position while it settles in. Water sparingly during establishment, allowing the growing medium to dry between waterings. Once the root system is established and new growth is evident, the plant can gradually be introduced to stronger light to encourage compact growth and richer colouring.
As ‘Blue Dolphin’ matures, it can also produce offsets around the parent rosette, gradually developing into an attractive multi-rosette specimen. Watching a small rooted cutting establish, colour and eventually produce new rosettes is one of the advantages of growing this distinctive Echeveria from an early stage.

- Due to the drying process necessary for sending plants through the mail, plants may look slightly different than images shown on our website
- Some plants, may look wrinkled when they arrive, may be somewhat limp, or soft to the touch. This is normal as they have been dried out for for a number of days before shipping to avoid rotting in the mail.
- Succulents are very hardy plants and they will recover quickly, providing you unpack them as soon as you receive them follow some simple care instructions you will find with your order.
