Graptopetalum paraguayense ssp. bernalense variegated, also known as Ghost Plant, is a very popular plant and a highly desirable addition to your collection. This variety of Ghost Plant is easy to grow and requires very low water, making it ideal for Australian climates. The leaves are a soft yellow and green, turning rosy pink when stressed in good light with restricted watering.

This variegated 'Ghost Plant' is a clump-forming succulent that can grow up to 20cm tall and 7cm in diameter, with rosettes that can be pruned to make more plants and encourage more branching. They require good drainage, lots of sun, and a well-balanced 1/4 strength fertilizer during the growing season to thrive.

What makes Ghost Plants a popular addition to any collection is their ease of propagation. This plant reproduces by making "babies" that appear around the edges of each leaf, which can be gently pulled off and rooted. Even a leaf that drops off will root below the parent plant and produce a new rosette quickly, though the best variegated plants are produced from stem cuttings or offsets as most leaves revert to the common form or produce extreme variegated plants.

In addition to its propagation ease, Ghost Plant is versatile and can be used in various ways, including as a groundcover, in gravel gardens, paved areas, rockeries, in hanging baskets or pots, or for spilling over walls. This plant is a true survivor and can withstand heat and drought, making it a perfect addition to any Australian garden.

Overall, Graptopetalum paraguayense ssp. bernalense variegated is an easy-to-grow, low-maintenance plant that any succulent collector in Australia would love to have in their collection. With its stunning variegated leaves and easy propagation, this plant is a great addition to any indoor or outdoor space.
