Graptopetalum 'Purple Delight' aka Graptoveria Crystal
Graptopetalum 'Purple Delight' is loved for its generous rosettes, softly changing colour and luminous, frosted finish. Its plump leaves can shift from pale silvery green and pink to rich lilac and mauve as light, temperature and growing conditions change. Even a single rosette makes a beautiful feature; with time, established plants develop branching stems and a fuller, multi-headed display.

Frosted Leaves and Seasonal Colour
The thick leaves are coated in natural farina, giving each rosette its soft, powdery appearance. Brighter conditions can bring out stronger pink and purple tones, while plants in active growth may show more of their pale green base colour. Handle the leaves gently where possible to preserve their delicate finish.
As the plant matures, its rosettes develop at the ends of lengthening stems, creating a graceful shape that suits both individual pots and mixed succulent displays. In spring, clusters of small, star-shaped white flowers marked with red dots add another lovely detail.

This cultivar is also sold under the names Graptoveria 'Crystal' and Graptopetalum 'Snow White'. Here, we use Graptopetalum 'Purple Delight' for the original, non-variegated plant. Our Graptopetalum 'Purple Delight' Variegated 'Snow White' form is a separate selection with cream and white markings.
Growing Graptopetalum 'Purple Delight'
Grow in a bright position with good airflow and a free-draining succulent mix. Acclimatise plants gradually to direct sun, and provide some protection from intense afternoon sun during hot Australian summers. Water thoroughly when the mix needs it, then allow it to dry appropriately before watering again. Keep plants out of prolonged wet conditions and protect them from heavy frost.

Pickup is available in Seville, Yarra Valley VIC by appointment. Order online as normal and any shipping charge will be automatically refunded after collection, unless you would prefer to receive an additional plant of similar value instead.
