The leaves are shiny and waxy, giving the plant a distinct and striking appearance. This plant has a real "wow" factor and is a must-have for any succulent collection.
This hybrid succulent is relatively easy to cultivate and does best in full sunlight, but can also tolerate partial shade. It prefers well-draining soil that is mixed with pumice, clay, and loam to prevent root rot, which it is susceptible to. Echeveria agavoides 'Romeo Rubin' requires regular watering during the growing season, from Mid spring to mid Autumn but it is important to ensure that the soil is completely dry before watering again. In the winter, the plant should be allowed to enter dormancy and watering should be stopped.
Echeveria agavoides 'Romeo Rubin' blooms in the spring with small red flowers with yellow tips that are borne on long stalks. This hybrid can reach up to 12 cm in height and 20 cm in diameter and is a rare and highly appreciated plant among collectors. It is easy to propagate by leaf cuttings during the spring, and multiple cuttings can be taken at the same time to increase the success of propagation.
Overall, Echeveria agavoides 'Romeo Rubin' is a unique and eye-catching succulent that is relatively easy to care for. Its unexpected color and shape make it a must-have for any succulent lover, and it is sure to add a striking pop of color to any indoor or outdoor space.
