Crassula Blue Bird variegated

This new Variegated form is likely a Nursery produced cultivar created from the original Crassula Blue Bird that was introduced and described by Dr. B.K Boom in the Dutch journal Succulenta in 1963 as Crassula portulacea 'Blauwe Vogel' (which translates to "blue bird"). It was long thought to be a hybrid of Crassula ovata and Crassula arborescens, but after receiving the leaves and inflorescences of this supposed hybrid, Toelken explained that it is identical to the plant he had described as Crassula arborescens subsp. undulatifolia. Therefore, Crassula 'Blue Bird' is the same as C. arborescens subsp. undulatifolia, a subspecies with two somewhat different forms in cultivation.

Propagation by division involves gently removing the plant from its container and separating the offsets, making sure each has some roots attached.
