Crassula 'Coralita' is a charming, petite succulent that makes a great addition to any collection. Its unique x-shaped pyramid structure, combined with thick, fleshy, grayish leaves covered with fine, very short white hairs, make it an eye-catching plant. This hybrid was created by Myron Kimnach in 1981 as a result of a cross between Crassula suzannae and Crassula perfoliata var. minor.
The plant is easy to care for and doesn't require much attention. It can be cultivated in small pots and should be planted in well-draining, sandy soil. Crassula 'Coralita' prefers a bright spot with full sun exposure, and watering should be moderate during the growth season and scarce during the winter. It's best to keep the plant indoors, or in a protected area outdoors, away from possible frosts, to ensure it stays healthy.
In spring, Crassula 'Coralita' produces clusters of coral pink flowers on stalks up to 8cm long, adding to its already charming appearance. The inflorescence is a thyrse of pink-coral flowers, supported by an elongated flashy purple peduncle.
Propagation is easy, and it can be done through stem or leaf cuttings, which can be rooted in a sandy substrate. With proper care, Crassula 'Coralita' can thrive for years and provide enjoyment to any succulent enthusiast.
