Crassula cordata, commonly known as the Heart-leaved Crassula, is an attractive and quick-growing succulent that is native to South Africa. This small, sparsely branched subshrub can grow up to 30 cm tall and produces an array of delicate little white flowers on the end of each branch mid to late summer.

The leaves of Crassula cordata are bluish-green in colour and have an attractive red outer leaf margin. Each leaf is covered in multiple dots that turn to a striking red colour when exposed to strong light, adding an interesting element to its appearance. The star-shaped flowers are cream to pale yellow often tinged pink and appear on up to 15 cm long inflorescence.

Crassula cordata is a great plant for a pot or bowl positioned on a windowsill indoors. It prefers bright, indirect light and well-draining soil. As with most succulents, it is important not to overwater Crassula cordata as it can be susceptible to root rot. This plant is hardy in zones 9b to 11b, with a minimum temperature of -3.9°C, making it perfect for mild to tropical climates.

Overall, Crassula cordata is an attractive and low-maintenance plant that is perfect for indoor gardening enthusiasts. Its unique appearance and hardiness make it an interesting addition to any collection.
