Crassula 'Moonglow' is a stunning succulent that results from crossing Crassula deceptor and Crassula perfoliata var. minor. This plant was introduced by Johnson Cactus Gardens in 1958 and boasts thick, fleshy leaves that are tightly packed in overlapping pairs, forming upright columns that can grow up to 20 cm tall. The leaves are covered with fine velvet-like hairs, which give the plant an attractive appearance.

This drought-tolerant plant requires bright, filtered light and adequate airflow around the leaves and soil surface. Thorough watering is necessary only when the soil is completely dry, and the soil must be porous with excellent drainage to avoid moisture retention that can lead to rust fungus and root rot. In areas with harsh winters, it is important to protect 'Moonglow' from frost by planting it in an appropriate pot and bringing it indoors during cold snaps.

Crassula 'Moonglow' produces beautiful apricot-colored flowers in clusters on a branched terminal spike in late winter and spring, making it an excellent addition to any indoor or outdoor garden. The leaves of this plant grow in an upright column opposite to each other, forming a very compact cluster of columns that can reach up to 30 cm in width.

Native to South Africa, this hybrid plant can grow with little effort, making it an ideal choice for both novice and experienced plant owners. It is not cold-hardy, and it should be protected from frost in areas where the temperature falls below -10°C.

Overall, Crassula 'Moonglow' is an attractive and low-maintenance succulent that can add unique features to any garden. It requires minimal care, and its stunning appearance makes it an excellent choice for both indoor and outdoor settings.
