Crassula perforata variegated is a delightful succulent that can add height and interest to your plant collection. Its stacked triangular leaves around a central stem form a tower of fleshy greenery that can reach up to 45 cm in height. The creamy white variegation on the leaves is eye-catching, and the pink to reddish tinges on the leaf margins make it even more attractive.

This variegated form of the species is a garden cultivar of the more common Crassula perforata, which is native to the South and Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. Crassula perforata variegated produces small, pale yellow flowers in spring, and is a versatile succulent that can thrive in a range of Australian climates, from the cooler regions of southern Tasmania to the warmer parts of Queensland and Western Australia, depending on the specific conditions in your area.

Like all the Crassula perforata species, Crassula perforata variegata is easy to care for and likes a bit more water than most succulents. This will keep its bottom leaves vibrant and healthy giving it the best athstetic appeal. It will handle extended dry spells easily, but can get woody at the base with severe lack of water

Cassula perforata variegata seldom suffers from rot even in the wetest conditions as long as it is planted in a free draining soil, On the odd occasion it does get root rot, not to worry, this plant is a true survivor and will soon form new roots higher up the stem. It will also do this when severely dry for long periods as a self preservation mechanism, soon reesrablishing itself. Pieces can also break off and fall on the ground forming new plants, so it is a tough little plant that is so easy to propagate.

In conclusion, Crassula perforata Variegated is an interesting succulent that can add unique shape and coloration to your plant collection and is suitable for growing in most parts of Australia. Its striking appearance, ease of care and propagation, makes it a great addition to any succulent collection and a plant you can enjoy and share for a very long time.
