This new red agavoides species is a stunning hybrid with eye-catching red-tipped leaves that contrast beautifully against its peachy orange-yellow rosettes. Native to Mexico, Echeveria agavoides are admired for their agave-like form and their drought-tolerant, low-maintenance nature. This red agavoides continues this tradition, offering a vibrant twist on the classic species. Its bright red margins create a striking effect, especially under bright sunlight, where the colours intensify.

This succulent thrives in well-drained soil and prefers a sunny spot in your garden or patio. Like many Echeverias, it's perfect for Australian conditions, as it tolerates periods of drought and can handle mild frosts. If grown indoors, make sure it's placed in a brightly lit area to maintain its vivid colouring.

Echeveria agavoides sp. 'Red' is a slow-growing variety, reaching around 10-15 cm in height and spreading to about 20 cm. Whether planted in rock gardens, pots, or succulent arrangements, its unique colouring and form make it a standout feature. For those looking for a reliable and attractive succulent, 'Red' is a great choice, offering both beauty and resilience.
