Echeveria 'Blue Eyes' is a beautiful Korean succulent cultivar prized for its perfectly formed blue-green rosettes, colourful red leaf tips and exceptional ability to produce offsets. Sometimes sold under the name Echeveria 'Blue Eye', this attractive variety has become a favourite among collectors thanks to its striking colour contrast, tidy growth habit and reliable performance in cultivation.
The symmetrical rosettes are formed from layers of thick, slightly powdery leaves that display soft blue-green tones throughout much of the year. Bright pink to red leaf tips provide an attractive contrast, giving each rosette a refined and highly ornamental appearance. During the cooler months, particularly when grown in bright conditions, the colours intensify further as the plant responds to winter temperatures. Additional stress from reduced watering can encourage even deeper red tones, creating a dramatic contrast against the cool blue foliage.
One of the standout features of Echeveria 'Blue Eyes' is its vigorous offsetting habit. What begins as a single rosette can gradually develop into a beautiful multi-headed clump, making this variety especially rewarding for growers who enjoy watching their collection mature over time. In our own collection, a small number of starter plants has multiplied readily with very little effort, demonstrating both the vigour and ease of growth for which this cultivar is becoming known.
