Echeveria Cat's Eye is a remarkable succulent that is sure to catch your attention. This hybrid of E. purpusorum boasts an array of unique features that set it apart from other plants in your collection. With a maximum diameter of just 10cm, this small grower is perfect for those with limited space.
The leaves of Echeveria Cat's Eye are the main attraction, with a convex shape that is slightly cupped and point upwards, revealing the underside of the leaf. This underside has a dark red spine through the middle, which gives each leaf the appearance of a cat's eye. Red spots or splotches also appear on the underside and margins, increasing in size when exposed to full sun.
This succulent thrives in full sun to bright shade and should be gradually acclimated to its new environment. Ideally, it should receive a minimum of 6 hours of direct sunlight each day. To maintain proper hydration, use the soak and dry method, which entails saturating the soil thoroughly and then allowing it to dry out completely before the next watering. Regularly remove dry leaves from the base of the rosettes to prevent rot and deter pests. Reduce watering in winter.
Echeveria Cat's Eye is a versatile plant that can be potted individually, arranged in a group, or added to your garden. Its hardiness and drought-tolerant capabilities make it an excellent choice for low maintenance gardens and dry climates.
This succulent is best grown in the spring to autumn season and must be protected from temperatures that get around or below -6.7°C. When given plenty of sunlight, the leaves of this plant transition from green to a vibrant red.
Overall, Echeveria Cat's Eye is an eye-catching, low maintenance succulent that will add life and color to any space.
