Echeveria 'Golden Glow' variegata is an exquisite, rare cultivar hailing from Korea. This captivating succulent is an Echeveria agavoides hybrid, known for its unique combination of creamy yellow variegation and pink blush along the leaf margins. The green leaves transform into a golden hue and the pink colouration intensifies when subjected to stress or cold winter conditions, making this plant a truly eye-catching addition to any garden or indoor space.

Growing up to 30 cm tall and forming rosettes of up to 25 cm in diameter, Echeveria 'Golden Glow' variegata is an excellent choice for enthusiasts seeking a distinctive and low-maintenance succulent. The plant gradually produces offsets, eventually forming clumps that can span up to 45 cm in width.

Echeveria 'Golden Glow' variegata thrives in well-draining soil and bright light conditions. To ensure optimal growth, it is crucial to avoid letting water accumulate in the rosette, as this can lead to rot or fungal diseases. Removing dead leaves from the bottom of the plant will also help to prevent pest infestations, such as mealybugs, which can harm your succulent.

Propagation of this stunning cultivar is typically accomplished through stem cuttings or from offsets which will grow from the base of the plant usually after about 2 years of age. Trying to propagate this variegated form from leaves is generally not successful as many won't produce a plant and the ones that do are mostly reversions to the regular form.

Re-potting is generally best done during the warmer months. Before re-potting, ensure the soil is dry, then carefully remove the plant from its pot. Gently brush off the old soil from the roots, taking care to remove any dead or rotted roots in the process. Apply a fungicide to any cuts that may occur during the re-potting process.

While Echeveria 'Golden Glow' variegata is not frost-tolerant, it can be grown outdoors in Australian climates that are free from frost. In colder regions, it can be grown in pots and brought indoors during the winter months. Its striking appearance and easy-to-care-for nature make Echeveria 'Golden Glow' variegata a fantastic addition to any succulent collection, whether you're a seasoned enthusiast or a beginner seeking a unique and attractive plant.
