Echeveria ‘Lemazzo’ is a beautifully compact Korean hybrid succulent admired for its near-perfect symmetry, thick rounded foliage, and vibrant seasonal colouring. This highly collectible cultivar forms tight rosettes of fleshy, spoon-shaped leaves that range from soft mint green to powdery blue-grey, edged with vivid pink to deep red tones when grown in bright conditions. Cooler weather and strong filtered sunlight intensify these colours dramatically, giving the plant an almost hand-painted appearance throughout autumn and winter.
One of the standout features of Echeveria ‘Lemazzo’ is its dense, chubby leaf structure. When properly hydrated, the leaves become noticeably plump, creating a tidy architectural form that remains attractive year-round. Like many modern Korean hybrids, it has been selectively bred for compact growth, strong colour contrast, and refined rosette shape, making it especially popular among collectors of premium ornamental succulents.
Over time, Lemazzo readily produces offsets around the base, gradually forming clustered mounds that add further visual appeal in pots, shallow bowls, and succulent arrangements. Mature plants may also send up slender flowering stems during the warmer months, carrying small bell-shaped blooms in soft peach to coral tones that attract pollinators.
This variety performs best in bright light with good airflow and very free-draining soil. In much of Australia, it thrives outdoors in a protected position with morning sun or filtered afternoon light. Water thoroughly only once the potting mix has dried completely, particularly during cooler periods when excess moisture can lead to rot.
With its sculptural form, colourful foliage, and manageable size, Echeveria ‘Lemazzo’ is a rewarding addition to both beginner collections and more advanced succulent displays.
