Echeveria Marijah
Echeveria 'Marijah' is a robust rosette-forming Echeveria with broad, fleshy green leaves edged in contrasting red. The plants offered here have developed from reverted, non-variegated growth on our Echeveria 'Marijah' Red & White Variegata stock and are being grown as the standard green form.
Broad Green Leaves & Red Edges
'Marijah' develops substantial, slightly cupped leaves arranged into a broad rosette. The leaf margins have a gently undulating appearance, becoming more pronounced on some leaves as the plant develops. Under good growing light, the rich green foliage develops a distinct red to reddish-pink edge that outlines the leaves and emphasises the shape of the rosette.
The intensity of this colouring varies with growing conditions. Stronger light and somewhat drier conditions can deepen the red along the margins, with more intense colour possible during periods of strong summer light. Well-watered and actively growing plants generally retain more green through the body of the leaf while still displaying the characteristic red edging.
Originating from Our Variegated Stock
Our plants originated as reverted growth from established Echeveria 'Marijah' Red & White Variegata plants. This reverted growth has been separated and grown on as the non-variegated form of 'Marijah', retaining the cultivar's broad rosette form and contrasting red leaf margins.
Growing Echeveria 'Marijah'
Grow in a free-draining succulent mix with good airflow and plenty of light to maintain compact growth and encourage strong colour around the leaf margins. Allow the growing medium to dry appropriately between waterings, particularly during cooler periods or when growth has slowed.
Plants grown in softer conditions should be acclimatised gradually when moved into substantially stronger sunlight to reduce the risk of sun damage.

Succulents naturally change in colour, size and form throughout the year. Many develop richer colours and more compact growth during periods of seasonal stress, particularly through cooler months and brighter conditions, while warmer or lower-light conditions may produce greener, softer growth.
The plant you receive may therefore vary from the product images depending on the season, its stage of growth and current growing conditions. These natural variations are part of the character of living plants and do not affect their quality or health.
Pickup is available in Seville, Yarra Valley VIC by appointment. Order online as normal and any shipping charge will be automatically refunded after collection, unless you would prefer to receive an additional plant of similar value instead.
