Echeveria ‘Moon Gadnis’ Crested – Succulent Cutting
What you will receive
You will receive one Echeveria ‘Moon Gadnis’ Crested cutting in either Medium or Large size, depending on your selection. Please select your preferred option from the drop-down menu above the Add to Cart button.
Your cutting will be similar in overall size and quality to those shown in images 2 and 3 and will have small roots already developed, giving it an excellent head start when planted. Image 1 shows established crested plants and illustrates the attractive colour, form and natural variation this cultivar can develop as it matures.
Each crest develops individually, so shape, branching, width and colour will naturally vary from cutting to cutting. Colours may also change considerably depending on the season, light levels and growing conditions.

About Echeveria ‘Moon Gadnis’ Crested
Echeveria ‘Moon Gadnis’ Crested is a fascinating crested succulent that combines soft blue-green foliage with an intricate, sculptural growth habit. Rather than developing as a conventional symmetrical rosette, its growing point has undergone fasciation, producing elongated, undulating growth with numerous tightly packed rosettes along the crest.
The fleshy leaves are edged and tipped with attractive pinkish-red tones that can become considerably more intense during cooler weather and when the plant receives plenty of bright light. As the crest matures, it may develop additional growing points and branches, creating an increasingly complex specimen with its own individual character.
Growing from a Rooted Cutting
Growing Echeveria ‘Moon Gadnis’ Crested from a cutting is an economical and rewarding way to establish this unusual form. Our cuttings already have small roots developing, allowing them to settle into their new growing medium more readily than freshly taken unrooted cuttings.
Plant into a free-draining succulent potting mix and initially keep the cutting in a bright, protected position while it establishes. Allow the growing medium to dry between waterings and gradually introduce stronger light once active growth is evident. As the cutting settles in, the crest will continue to expand and develop its distinctive branching and sculptural form.
Care & Colour
Like most Echeveria, ‘Moon Gadnis’ Crested performs best with excellent drainage, good airflow and plenty of bright light. Morning sun and winter sun are particularly beneficial for maintaining compact growth and encouraging stronger pink and red colouring, while some protection from intense afternoon summer sun can help prevent scorching.
With its strong seasonal colour, unusual fasciated growth and the individuality of every crest, Echeveria ‘Moon Gadnis’ Crested is an especially interesting choice for collectors and anyone who enjoys watching a succulent develop into a truly unique specimen.
