Echeveria ‘Moon Gadnis’ Crested is a fascinating crested form that retains the beautiful soft blue-green colouring of the standard Echeveria ‘Moon Gadnis’, while developing an intricate fan-shaped growth pattern that makes every plant completely unique. Rather than forming a single symmetrical rosette, the growing point naturally fasciates to create undulating, sculptural crests that continue to evolve as the plant matures.
The fleshy leaves are edged and tipped with vibrant pinkish-red tones that become even more intense during the cooler months when grown in a bright position. As the crest expands it often develops multiple growing points, producing an increasingly complex display that is highly prized by collectors and makes an eye-catching feature in pots or succulent arrangements.
Growing your own plant from a cutting is both economical and rewarding. Our cuttings are supplied with small roots already established, allowing them to settle in quickly. Simply plant into a free-draining succulent potting mix that is dry to slightly damp, place in a bright position out of direct sunlight while it acclimatises, then begin watering after approximately one to two weeks. With the right care, new growth will soon appear as the cutting establishes and develops into an impressive crested specimen.
Like most Echeveria, this cultivar prefers excellent drainage, moderate watering and plenty of bright light. A light application of diluted liquid fertiliser during the active growing season will encourage steady growth while maintaining its attractive colour and form.
