Echeveria ‘Pink Heron’ Variegata is a refined Korean-bred hybrid admired for its balanced rosette form and soft, shifting colours. This variegated selection develops neat, symmetrical rosettes of thick, fleshy leaves marked with buttery yellow and gentle green tones, edged with a blush of pink that deepens with good light exposure. Often lightly dusted with natural farina, the foliage can appear blue-green beneath the variegation, adding depth and contrast through the seasons.
As a slow to moderate grower, Echeveria ‘Pink Heron’ Variegata typically reaches around 10–15 cm in diameter as a mature rosette and may gradually offset to form small clumps over time. The combination of variegation, pastel margins, and precise structure makes each plant unique, with subtle differences in colour distribution influenced by light levels and temperature. Like many Korean hybrids, it has been selected for both ornamental value and compact growth.
This echeveria prefers bright light, including gentle morning sun, to encourage stronger pink tones while maintaining healthy variegation. In very hot Australian summers, protection from harsh afternoon sun will help prevent leaf stress. Plant in a free-draining succulent mix and water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out fully between waterings. Keeping water out of the rosette and providing good airflow will reduce the risk of rot.
Best suited to frost-free conditions, Echeveria ‘Pink Heron’ Variegata performs well in pots, shallow bowls, and feature containers, where its elegant colouring can be appreciated up close. It is an excellent choice for collectors and for adding a soft, pastel highlight to mixed succulent arrangements.
