Echeveria 'Red Velvet' is an exquisite succulent hybrid with a tight rosette of fleshy, light green leaves when young and growing. When mature and properly stressed, the crown of the plant showcases a deep strawberry red hue that gradually fades into a beautiful soft pink on its outer leaves. The tips and margins of these outer leaves can deepen into a darker pink shade, enhancing the plant's already gorgeous appearance.
This Korean hybrid is known to display its best coloration during winter, responding very well to cold stress. However, under optimal growing conditions, it can also show impressive coloration during summer.
Echeveria 'Red Velvet' is a relatively small plant that reaches about 10 cm in height and spread, making it ideal for a variety of planting arrangements. It is a versatile plant that can thrive both indoors and outdoors, given appropriate light, water, and soil conditions.
Like all Echeveria, 'Red Velvet' is a low maintenance plant that requires infrequent watering and good drainage. It can grow in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-draining soil.
This plant is perfect for those who love succulents and are looking to add a unique, colorful addition to their collection. Its distinctive colors and striking appearance make it an excellent choice for both novice and experienced gardeners alike.
