Echeveria 'Tuxpan' also known as Echeveria Pinwheel, is a striking and compact succulent plant with a unique appearance. Originating from Tuxpan, Michoacán, Mexico, this plant has striking purple-pinkish coloring with dark tips, which intensifies when mature and under stress. The foliage changes color between pale blue/silver and purple/pink during different growing seasons, adding to its allure. When grown in clumps, it readily forms large mounds, making it a beautiful addition to any succulent collection.
Echeveria 'Tuxpan' is easy to grow and care for, making it an ideal choice for beginners. Like most succulents, it requires well-draining soil and careful watering habits. Be cautious not to let water sit in the rosette as it can cause rot or fungal diseases that can harm the plant. Additionally, remove dead leaves from the bottom of the plant as it grows, as these can provide a home for pests.
This plant can be propagated easily from leaf cuttings, stem cuttings, or seeds. To propagate a leaf cutting, place the individual leaf flat on a succulent or cacti mix and cover the dish until the new plant sprouts.
Echeveria 'Tuxpan' is a stunning plant that adds a unique and beautiful touch to any garden or indoor space. Its striking coloration, combined with its easy care requirements, makes it a perfect addition to any succulents collection.
