Graptopetalum Mendozae Variegata (multi)
Graptopetalum mendozae Variegata is a beautifully patterned form of this compact, branching succulent. Its small rosettes are made up of plump leaves in a changing mix of soft green, cream and pale yellow. Under suitable conditions, delicate pink tones can emerge too, giving established plants a particularly lovely pastel appearance.
Variegation with Individual Character
No two rosettes are quite alike. Some leaves have a gentle wash of cream, while others show broader pale areas alongside green growth. This variation gives a mature plant depth and character, especially as new heads develop among the older rosettes. The pale foliage has a soft, powdery finish; handle it gently to preserve its natural appearance.
A Full, Multi-Rosette Plant
Graptopetalum mendozae naturally branches and forms clusters of small rosettes. This variegated form follows the same habit, gradually creating an intricate display of differently coloured heads. Its compact scale makes it especially appealing in a feature pot, where the details of each rosette can be appreciated up close.
Growth may be slower than in the regular green form, particularly on heads with more cream-coloured foliage. The varied balance of green and pale leaves is part of what makes each plant distinctive.
Growing Graptopetalum mendozae Variegata
Grow in a free-draining succulent mix in a bright position with good airflow. Gentle direct sun or bright filtered light helps maintain compact growth and attractive colour. Protect the pale leaves from intense Australian summer afternoon sun, and acclimatise plants gradually if moving them into a brighter position.
Water thoroughly when needed, then allow the mix to dry appropriately before watering again. Avoid prolonged dampness, particularly in cooler weather. Light feeding during active growth can support steady development; heavy fertilising is unnecessary. Protect plants from heavy frost.

Succulents naturally change in colour, size and form throughout the year. Many develop richer colours and more compact growth during periods of seasonal stress, particularly through cooler months and brighter conditions, while warmer or lower-light conditions may produce greener, softer growth.
The plant you receive may therefore vary from the product images depending on the season, its stage of growth and current growing conditions. These natural variations are part of the character of living plants and do not affect their quality or health.
Pickup is available in Seville, Yarra Valley VIC by appointment. Order online as normal and any shipping charge will be automatically refunded after collection, unless you would prefer to receive an additional plant of similar value instead.
