Graptosedum 'Miul' Variegata is a rare and visually stunning succulent cultivar, prized for its creamy leaf variegation and vibrant colour response to sunlight. A Korean hybrid between Graptopetalum amethystinum and Sedum clavatum, this plant brings together the chubby, powder-dusted leaves of its parents with striking cream margins that blush pink to coral under bright conditions.

Rosettes are compact and rounded, forming at the tips of branching stems and developing into a low, spreading shrublet up to 20 cm tall and 40 cm wide. The base leaf colour is a soft blue-green, but the creamy variegation lifts its appearance into something truly unique. With adequate light and seasonal shifts, leaves may display a kaleidoscope of soft pink, apricot, or even lavender tones.

In time, Graptosedum 'Miul' Variegata produces offsets—new heads that cluster along the main stems. Some of these can emerge in a delicate pale yellow, lacking chlorophyll and appearing almost luminous. These highly variegated forms are best left attached to the parent plant, where they can draw nutrients and thrive, as their limited chlorophyll makes independent growth more challenging.

In spring, the plant may also reward with clusters of star-shaped flowers—typically soft yellow with subtle red speckling. It enjoys full sun to partial shade, and performs best in free-draining soil with deep but infrequent watering. Reduce watering in winter and protect from frost, particularly in cooler southern regions of Australia.

Non-toxic and easily propagated from leaf or stem cuttings, this cultivar is an excellent addition to any collection. Its shifting colours and rare variegation make it a standout specimen for indoor pots, outdoor rockeries, or succulent displays.
