The captivating Graptoveria 'Huth's Pink', also known as Graptopetalum 'Dr. Huth's Pink' or 'Dr. Huth's Blue', is a delightful succulent whose charm lies not just in its appearance but also in its fuss-free propagation. With its rosette formation of thick, fleshy leaves, this plant is a visual treat that changes color from pink in bright sunlight to intriguing shades of blue when in shade, explaining its dual synonyms.

The brainchild of Douglas Huth, Graptoveria 'Huth's Pink' was named by J. C. van Keppel in 1979. A crossbreed between Graptopetalum paraguayense and Echeveria gigantea, although the exact details of its creation remains a bit of a mystery.

A particularly fascinating trait of this succulent is its chameleon-like color transformation based on sunlight exposure. The leaves bask in a radiant pink hue under full sun, while turning blue in the shade. This color dynamicity makes it a hot favorite among succulent aficionados seeking plants with unique attributes.

Despite its sophisticated appearance, Graptoveria 'Huth's Pink' requires minimal maintenance. It thrives best in well-draining soil and appreciates watering only when the soil completely dries out. In the warmer summer months, it might require more frequent watering, whereas, in winter, it prefers a drier setting. Avoid letting the plant sit in water to prevent root rot.

When spring arrives, Graptoveria 'Huth's Pink' surprises with delicate, star-shaped, pale yellow flowers adorned with red markings. These flowers sprout from branched stalks, adding another layer of visual appeal to this already eye-catching plant.

Graptoveria 'Huth's Pink' is an enchanting succulent will add a pop of color to any collection and also propagates effortlessly from cuttings. With its sun-sensitive hues and minimal care needs, it's the perfect addition to elevate your garden and a good one to share with friends, so why not add it to your collection today?
