Haworthia cymbiformis 'Variegata' Clumps
Haworthia cymbiformis 'Variegata' is the variegated form of the familiar Cathedral Window Haworthia, combining soft, boat-shaped leaves and translucent leaf tips with irregular areas of cream, pale yellow and green. These established multi-head plants have already developed clusters of rosettes, giving them a fuller appearance than single plants.
Variegated, windowed foliage
The fleshy leaves display irregular combinations of green, cream and pale yellow, with translucent areas towards the tips allowing light to penetrate the leaf tissue. The pattern varies naturally between individual leaves and rosettes, making each clump unique.
Season, light and growing conditions can influence the intensity of the colour. Brighter conditions may encourage subtle pink, bronze or reddish tones, particularly around the more lightly pigmented areas.
Established multi-head clumps
Haworthia cymbiformis naturally produces offsets from around the base, and these variegated plants have been grown on to form attractive multi-rosette clumps. Additional offsets can continue to develop with time, gradually producing increasingly substantial specimens.
Offsets may display different amounts and patterns of variegation from the parent rosette. They can be left attached to maintain the clustered appearance or separated once sufficiently developed for propagation.
About Haworthia cymbiformis
The underlying species, Haworthia cymbiformis, is native to South Africa's Eastern Cape. Its characteristic fleshy, boat-shaped leaves and translucent upper areas have made it one of the most recognisable soft-leaved Haworthias in cultivation.
Growing Haworthia cymbiformis 'Variegata'
Grow in a free-draining succulent mix with bright filtered light and good airflow. Variegated foliage contains less chlorophyll in its pale areas and benefits from protection from intense Australian afternoon summer sun, which can cause scorching.
Water thoroughly when required, allowing the growing medium to dry appropriately between waterings. Avoid keeping the roots continuously wet. Bright filtered light generally provides the best balance between compact growth and attractive variegation.

Pickup is available in Seville, Yarra Valley VIC by appointment. Order online as normal and any shipping charge will be automatically refunded after collection, unless you would prefer to receive an additional plant of similar value instead.
