Kalanchoe eriophylla, also known as Snow White Panda Plant and Blue Kalanchoe, is a captivating succulent species native to Madagascar. This dwarf plant is renowned for its silvery-grey, furry leaves that form a dense rosette and grow up to 10 cm long and 4 cm wide. The leaves are oblong in shape and covered with a fine layer of white hairs, giving them a unique and eye-catching appearance.

In addition to its distinctive foliage, Kalanchoe eriophylla produces clusters of small, violet/pink flowers in the winter, similar to those of Kalanchoe Pumila. These delicate blooms grow on tall stems reaching up to 30 cm in height, adding an extra layer of interest to this already fascinating plant.

This hardy species is relatively low-maintenance, preferring well-draining soil and bright, indirect light. While it can tolerate some direct sunlight, care should be taken not to expose it to scorching conditions. Watering should be done sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between each session to prevent root rot.

Kalanchoe eriophylla is a versatile plant that can be used in various settings, such as rock gardens, ground cover, or container gardens. Its soft, furry leaves and delicate white flowers make it an attractive addition to any garden or indoor space. It is also popular among succulent collectors due to its unique appearance.

In Australia, Kalanchoe eriophylla is suitable for areas with mild winters and minimal risk of frost. If frost is a concern, consider growing it in a pot that can be moved indoors during colder months. This way, you can ensure the plant's survival and continue to enjoy its beauty throughout the year.

In summary, Kalanchoe eriophylla is a delightful and intriguing plant that is sure to draw attention in any setting. Its soft, silvery-grey leaves and elegant violet/pink flowers make it an appealing choice for both novice and experienced gardeners alike.
