You will receive one healthy Sedum ‘Alice Evans’ Variegata head cutting similar in overall size and quality to those shown in the product images. The final image shows our current cutting stock, while the individual cutting images provide a closer view of the typical size, form and variegation. Each cutting is carefully selected for size and quality.
These are generous head cuttings rather than small offsets, with mature stems that provide a good starting point for establishment.

About Sedum ‘Alice Evans’ Variegata
Sedum ‘Alice Evans’ Variegata is the variegated form of ‘Alice Evans’, a rosette-forming succulent with thick, fleshy leaves carried at the ends of gradually elongating stems. The parentage of ‘Alice Evans’ is reported as Sedum clavatum × Sedum lucidum, although its hybrid history is not extensively documented.
The variegated form combines soft green foliage with broad cream to pale-yellow areas, creating considerable natural variation from leaf to leaf and between individual rosettes. As the plant matures, the stems can lengthen and develop additional growth, eventually producing a fuller, gently spreading or cascading plant.
Growing from Cuttings
Before planting, check that the cut end of the stem has dried and formed a firm callus. Once sufficiently callused, plant into a free-draining succulent mix, inserting enough of the stem to hold the cutting securely while keeping the lower leaves above the growing medium.
Keep the cutting relatively dry initially while new roots begin to form, then gradually resume normal watering once it is established. Provide bright light, but protect newly planted cuttings from intense afternoon sun until they have developed a functioning root system.
Colour & Seasonal Changes
Variegation naturally differs between individual cuttings. Light levels, temperature and seasonal conditions can also influence the balance of green, cream and yellow colouring, with warmer pink, peach or orange tones sometimes developing under brighter light or cooler conditions.

- Due to the drying process necessary for sending plants through the mail, plants may look slightly different than images shown on our website
- Some plants, may look wrinkled when they arrive, may be somewhat limp, or soft to the touch. This is normal as they have been dried out for for a number of days before shipping to avoid rotting in the mail.
- Succulents are very hardy plants and they will recover quickly, providing you unpack them as soon as you receive them follow some simple care instructions you will find with your order.
