Sedum hispanicum, also known as Spanish Stonecrop, is a low-maintenance and easy-to-grow succulent plant. It is native to southern and central Europe and southwestern Asia, and has been cultivated in North America since 1880. The plant grows up to 15 cm tall and has fleshy blue-green leaves that turn blue-grey in warm weather. Its leaves have a soft feathery texture and are arranged in whorls on branching stems. In winter, the leaves are flushed reddish-purple.

From late spring to summer, Spanish Stonecrop produces small, whitish-pink flowers in rounded clusters. The flowers attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies to your garden. This plant is ideal for rock gardens or parts of your yard that receive too much sun or too little water for other plants to thrive.

Sedum hispanicum is very easy to propagate, as it sends out roots from wherever the stem touches the ground and roots itself. You can also propagate it by breaking off one of the stems and planting it into the ground. This plant is hardy and can tolerate temperatures down to -20°C.

In summary, Sedum hispanicum is a versatile and attractive succulent that is easy to grow and care for. Its fleshy blue-green leaves and small, whitish-pink flowers make it a charming addition to any garden or rockery.
