Originating from alpine regions of Europe, this cultivar represents a fascinating crested mutation of Sempervivum ‘Centennial’, a hybrid known for its rich magenta tones that shift to green towards the centre. In its crested form, the plant develops a broad, contorted ridge that resembles coral or a miniature mountain range, giving it an almost architectural quality as it matures.
The foliage of Sempervivum ‘Centennial’ Crest ranges from dusky purple and wine-red to silvery green, with colour intensity deepening under full sun or during cooler weather.
