Echeveria × Lady Grey – Succulent Cutting
What you will receive
You will receive one large Echeveria × Lady Grey cutting, generally measuring approximately 70–100 mm in diameter, with a generous length of stem ready for planting. Depending on available stock and natural cutting size, two smaller cuttings of equivalent overall value may occasionally be supplied instead.
Image 1 shows established plants and illustrates the attractive growth habit and seasonal colouring of this variety. Image 2 provides a useful example of the size and form of a large cutting. Each cutting is individually selected and will display natural variation in shape, colour and size. Colours may vary depending on season, light levels and growing conditions.

About Echeveria × Lady Grey
Echeveria × Lady Grey is an attractive and distinctive succulent valued for its changing seasonal colours, branching growth habit and easy-going nature. Its fleshy, powdery leaves form attractive rosettes that can display an impressive range of green, bronze, orange, pink and mauve tones throughout the year.
Colour is particularly striking during the cooler months, when the foliage can develop stronger pink and mauve shades. During warmer periods, softer greens and warm orange-bronze tones tend to become more prominent. A fine coating of protective farina gives the leaves their characteristic softly powdered appearance and further enhances the changing colours.
The exact origins of Echeveria × Lady Grey are uncertain, although it bears similarities to the succulent commonly known as Graptophytum ‘Supreme’ or ‘Lady Grey’. Regardless of its precise parentage, it has proven to be a vigorous and attractive garden succulent with plenty of character.
Growing from Cuttings
Echeveria × Lady Grey is particularly well suited to propagation from stem cuttings. The generous stem supplied with our cuttings makes them straightforward to plant and provides a strong starting point for establishing a new specimen.
Plant into a free-draining succulent potting mix and initially position the cutting in bright, protected light while roots develop. Keep the growing medium relatively dry during the early establishment period, then gradually resume normal watering once new growth indicates that the cutting has rooted.
As it matures, Echeveria × Lady Grey naturally develops branches and additional rosettes, gradually producing a substantial, bushy specimen. It can also be pruned and shaped over time, with removed healthy stems providing further opportunities for propagation.
Growth & Care
This is a hardy, adaptable succulent that performs well in pots, succulent gardens and larger mixed plantings. Provide excellent drainage and plenty of bright light for compact growth and stronger seasonal colour, with some protection from harsh afternoon summer sun where necessary.
Once established, Echeveria × Lady Grey requires relatively little maintenance and has good drought tolerance. Its ease of propagation, vigorous branching habit and continually changing colours make it an especially rewarding succulent to grow from a cutting.
