Sedum dasyphyllum 'Lilac Mound' also known simply as Sedum Lilac Mound, is a highly sought-after succulent ground cover with stunning lilac-pink foliage. This plant is a member of the Sedum genus and the Crassulaceae family, known for their hardiness and ability to thrive in a range of environments.
Sedum Lilac Mound is a low-growing, dense ground cover that produces miniature leaves that turn a beautiful purple-gray when exposed to sunlight. It is an extremely hardy plant that is easy to propagate from even the tiniest of leaves. When stressed, it can produce colorful leaves in shades of pink, purple, blue, and green, making for a truly spectacular sight.
In addition to its gorgeous foliage, Sedum Lilac Mound produces pinkish buds that open into delicate white petals with creamy-yellow carpels at the center. This plant is native to Southern and Central Europe, Turkey, and North Africa, where it grows in sunny and partially shaded positions.
