Echeveria 'Blue Curls' is a captivating succulent that demands attention with its mesmerizing blue-green foliage that undulates in delicate waves, creating a soothing and relaxing aura in any setting. The powdery texture of the leaves gives them a frosted appearance, while the pink blush in spring and fall adds a touch of warmth to the plant. In summer, the plant produces reddish-pink flowers on tall stalks, adding a pop of color to the already captivating rosette that can grow up to 30 cm in diameter.
Caring for Echeveria 'Blue Curls' is relatively easy, as with most Echeveria species. The plant thrives in well-draining soil and requires watering only when the soil has completely dried out. It's crucial to avoid getting water in the rosette, as this can cause rot and damage the plant. Regularly removing dead leaves can prevent pest infestations and keep the plant looking healthy.
Propagation of 'Blue Curls' is possible through various means, including leaf cuttings and stem cuttings. Repotting can be done as needed during the growing season, and the plant requires a sunny location to thrive.
This hybrid succulent is the creation of Frank Reinelt, who used Echeveria gibbiflora as the parent plant. The plant's origins and naming are somewhat confusing, as it is also known as Echeveria 'Curls' and has a sister plant Echeveria Blue Waves, which has caused some confusion in Europe where the names are used inversely. But it is undeniable that Echeveria 'Blue Curls' is a stunning addition to any collection or garden, bringing a sense of calm and tranquility with its unique blue-green foliage and mesmerizing curls.

Orders are dispatched according to our weekly shipping schedule, available on our Shipping page, with tracking provided once your order has been lodged with Australia Post.
Succulents naturally change in colour, size and form throughout the year. Many develop richer colours and more compact growth during periods of seasonal stress, particularly through cooler months and brighter conditions, while warmer or lower-light conditions may produce greener, softer growth.
The plant you receive may therefore vary from the product images depending on the season, its stage of growth and current growing conditions. These natural variations are part of the character of living plants and do not affect their quality or health.
Pickup is available in Seville, Yarra Valley VIC by appointment. Order online as normal and any shipping charge will be automatically refunded after collection, unless you would prefer to receive an additional plant of similar value instead.
