What you will receive

You will receive one large Echeveria ‘Cubic Frost’ cutting or two smaller cuttings of equivalent value, similar in overall size and quality to those shown in images 2–5. The first image shows established plants for display purposes, while the remaining images provide examples of the cuttings you may receive. Cuttings may or may not have small roots already forming and are supplied ready for planting.

Each cutting is carefully selected from our current stock. Colour, size and form will vary naturally depending on the season, growth stage and growing conditions.

About Echeveria ‘Cubic Frost’

Echeveria ‘Cubic Frost’ is a distinctive succulent prized for its unusual sculptural foliage and attractive seasonal colouring. Its fleshy leaves curve and fold backwards, creating the angular, almost geometric appearance that gives this cultivar its distinctive character.

The foliage typically displays soft blue-grey to lilac tones, often developing beautiful pink and lilac-pink colouring under brighter light and cooler seasonal conditions. Its powdery farina gives the leaves a softly frosted appearance and further enhances the pastel colouring.

As ‘Cubic Frost’ matures, it readily produces offsets around the main rosette and can gradually develop into an attractive multi-headed cluster. This free-offsetting habit also makes it particularly well suited to propagation from cuttings.

Growing from Cuttings

Echeveria ‘Cubic Frost’ is easy and rewarding to establish from a cutting. Once planted, the cutting develops its root system and resumes active growth, eventually producing the distinctive curled foliage and offsets characteristic of a mature plant.

Plant into a free-draining succulent mix and place in a bright, protected position while the cutting establishes. If your cutting does not yet have roots, allow the cut surface to be fully dry and callused before planting. Water sparingly during the early establishment period, allowing the growing medium to dry between waterings. Once rooted and actively growing, gradually introduce the plant to stronger light to encourage compact growth and richer colouring.

If two smaller cuttings are supplied, they can be planted together to create a fuller display from the outset or planted separately to establish two individual plants. As they mature and begin producing their own offsets, each cutting has the potential to develop into an attractive cluster of sculptural pastel rosettes.
